Carrie Pomeroy is a Marine Advisor for the University of California Sea Grant Extension Program based in Santa Cruz County with statewide responsibilities. Her work as a marine advisor in the U.C. System includes research, education, and outreach on the human dimensions of fisheries of the Monterey Bay region and the state.

Marine Advisor Carrie Pomeroy is currently working in three primary areas.

1) Conducting research on the human dimensions of fisheries and fishing communities,

2) Facilitating the exchange of social scientific information among diverse fisheries interests and the general public, and

3) Providing advice for sustainable resource management.
